Different Strokes For Different Folks

Everybody has their own style of putting – something they are comfortable with and a stroke they can repeat with reasonable or continuous consistency.

Putter Balance

We will take a look at your putting stroke and will be able to recommend the right balance for you.

Putters are either –

  • Heel weighted
  • Toe Weighted
  • Centre Weighted

How you swing the putter will dictate which weight distribution is right for you.

Putter Weight And Length

Both the weight of the putter and length of the shaft also make a big difference to how comfortable you feel.

Lie and Loft

Just like you irons the putter lie and loft of your putter needs to be right. You don’t want to be cocking your wrists or hunching over the ball to get the putter sitting correctly on the ground.

At The Range, we will take all of these factors into account and get you set up with a wand that will be perfect for you.

Putting Woes

Apart from poor strokes and bad habits – like lifting your head or moving your body during the putting stroke – having a putter which doesn’t suit your particular stroke is the the cause of many missed putts. A poor stroke and putter match will leave you feeling like you are fighting the putter all of the time and can’t get comfortable.

Let the team at the range help you and you’ll have your handicap tumbling down.

The Most Important Club In Your Bag

Many golfers underestimate just how important the putter is. It‘s probably the most important club in your golf bag.

So Why is it so important?

Golf, like many other sports is about confidence and positive momentum. If you can 2 putt or one putt every green you will drop a lot of shots off of your score. This is good, but the other major and less obvious benefit is that being confident on the greens takes pressure off of your approach shots. This means you feel less pressure to hit the ball close to the flag, and are less scared of missing greens. As a result you make better decisions and better swings, hit more greens and save even more shots!
